Sarina Wiegman is a Dutch-born football manager who has led the England women’s national team to their first major trophy in 55 years, winning the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022.

Wiegman started her playing career as a midfielder for Ter Leede and ADO Den Haag in the Netherlands. She also played for the Dutch national team, making 104 appearances and scoring three goals.

Wiegman retired from playing in 2003 due to injury. She then turned to coaching, and quickly rose through the ranks. She managed Ter Leede and ADO Den Haag, before becoming the assistant coach of the Netherlands national team in 2014.

In 2017, Wiegman was appointed as the head coach of the Netherlands national team. She led the team to victory in the UEFA Women’s Euro 2017, their first major trophy in women’s football.

In 2021, Wiegman was appointed as the head coach of the England women’s national team. She led the team to victory in the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022, their first major trophy in 55 years.

Wiegman is a highly respected coach who is known for her attacking style of play. She is also a great leader who has inspired her players to believe in themselves.
