Jen Psaki is an American political advisor, commentator, and spokesperson who served as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022.
She is married to Gregory Mecher, a former chief of staff to Congressman Steve Driehaus and Joe Kennedy.
Psaki and Mecher met in 2006 at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. They were married on May 8, 2010, and have two children together, a daughter named Genevieve and a son named Paul.
Mecher is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Georgetown University Law Center. He worked as a lawyer for several years before entering politics.
He served as chief of staff to Congressman Driehaus from 2007 to 2010, and then as chief of staff to Congressman Kennedy from 2011 to 2013.
Psaki and Mecher are both active in Democratic politics. Psaki served as a spokesperson for the Democratic National Committee from 2013 to 2015, and then as White House communications director from 2015 to 2017.
Mecher is currently a senior adviser to the Biden-Harris transition team.
The couple lives in Washington, D.C.
