Former NFL running back Alex Collins died in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, August 13, 2023. He was 28 years old.
Alex Collins’s Cause of Death
Collins was riding his motorcycle in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, near his hometown of Fort Lauderdale, when he collided with a Chevrolet Suburban SUV. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Collins played for the Seattle Seahawks and Baltimore Ravens during his NFL career. He was drafted by the Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He played for the Ravens in 2017 and 2018 and then returned to the Seahawks in 2020 and 2021.
Collins was a fan favorite in both Seattle and Baltimore. He was known for his explosive running style and his ability to make plays in the open field. He rushed for 1,997 yards and 12 touchdowns in his NFL career.
In addition to his NFL career, Collins also played for the Memphis Showboats of the United States Football League in 2023.
